Vintage Star Banner

Remember the July 4th Décor Inspiration I posted earlier? Well, I decided to give this project a try…and here is my finished banner. It’s two-sided so I can hang it on a door frame between rooms if I want to.

De-Stress With Distress Technique Classes

Are you ready for some relaxation and fun (also known as crafting therapy)? I know I am! Well, why not join me this Saturday for some crafty classes?!

Have you ever wanted to see what scrapbooking is all about? Well, here’s your chance. This Saturday, June 28, 2014, I will be hosting a Scrapbooking 101 Class from 12:30 to 2:30 pm. The class is free, but you will need to purchase some supplies and bring along ten to twenty photos of your choice. I will take you through the organizational processes, basic design considerations, and essential tools and how to use them properly. We will work on a basic page layout before you leave the class to get you started on the scrapbooking journey.

Then I hope you will stick around for the Distress Tags Class from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. We will explore blending and distressing techniques using the wonderful Ranger Distress Ink Pads and Stampers Anonymous clear acrylic stamps and #8 manilla tags.  Take these techniques and create your own wonderful bookmarks, gift tags and journal tags for your scrapbook pages. You will be in love with ‘Distress’ by the time we are done. This will be the last time this class is offered. Continue reading

www.pinkcloudscrappers.blogspot.com/2014/03/should-have-been-xyron-but-now-it-is.html

I just saw this project in the Scrapbook Expo Weekly Scrapper newsletter and can’t wait to try it out. I have some wonderful leftover Tim Holtz 4th of July papers that would work really well for this project. So dig out your distress ink pads and let’s do some distressing! I’m thinking this would be interesting to do with a Christmas theme as well. What do you think? So hop on over to Lori Williams’ blog – Pinkcloud Scrappers – for the project directions and then change it up and make it your own.
